Peñaflor is located on the northern bank of the Guadalquivir River, in the easternmost province of Seville.
Peñaflor is part of the Guadalquivir lowlands, just 45 minutes from Seville and 35 from Cordoba, and is easily accessible from both cities via both train and car.
Peñaflor’s location between the Guadalquivir Valley and the foothills of the Sierra Morena make it an ideal place for hiking and cycling in the neighboring sierra paths.
Peñaflor is a place of contrasts— drylands and fertile, irrigated land; orange orchards and meadows; herds of wild cattle and hunting of rabbit, hare, pheasant, and wild boar.
The flora is predominantly comprised of Mediterranean vegetation, holm oak, cork oak, wild olive trees, Kermes oak, and wild Mediterranean shrubs.
